It's been a while since I drew a proper artwork, so I thought I could practice a little before i started on the bigger stuff. This one was fairly quick, maybe two to three hours.
Oh man, I could almost swear this is a pastel work or any type pr traditional art, so much character and sorta impressionistic haze to it. The light outlines his face so beautifully I could just stare at it for hours.
Maybe there's something little about the jaw... I don't know which pictured you sed as a reference and I certainly haven't stared Paul's face to be really sure, but maybe it's makes his face look touch too longish? Or maybe it's just the angle. But you have perfect eyes and eyelahhes really, you nstantly recognize them as Paul's.
Great, that means I did it right. You see, I downloaded some traditional brushes a while ago and I was unsure how to proceed with them. But you're right. His jaw is a bit thinner and longer than in the original reference... blame that on me being tired and lazy, because I drew this like 1 am and thought it would be a good idea. x) But thanks for pointing that out. I'll do it better next time. ^^
